General Clinic Questions
Do I need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment?
What should I wear to my first session?
We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily.
- Lower body issues (hips, knees, ankles): Shorts are ideal.
- Upper body issues (neck, shoulders): A tank top or loose t-shirt works best.
- Coming from work? We have private changing areas available for your convenience.
How long are the appointments?
What happens at my first visit?
Think of your first visit as a “discovery” session.
- The Chat: Your practitioner will sit down with you to hear your story. We want to know when the pain started, what makes it worse, and, most importantly, what goals you have (like playing with your grandkids or getting back to the gym).
- The Assessment: We’ll look at how you move. This might involve some simple tests of your strength, flexibility, and nerves.
- The Plan: We don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all.” We’ll explain what we think is going on and create a plan specifically for you. Usually, we’ll get started with some initial treatment right then and there.

Treatment Questions
How many visits will it take until I feel better?
Will it Hurt?
This is a very normal thing to worry about! The truth is, we are here to relieve pain, not cause it. Sometimes, when we work on a tight muscle or move a stiff joint, you might feel a “productive” discomfort, the kind where you think, “Ooh, that’s exactly where the spot is.” You might also feel a little bit like you’ve had a workout the next day.
However, you are always in control. If anything feels too intense, just tell us. We can always adjust our pressure or try a different technique. We want you to leave feeling better and more relaxed than when you walked in.
